I came across lemon grass when my wife conducted a ‘blind test’ on me.
It happened like this…
I’ve been a ‘bad sleeper’ for as long as I can remember. I sleep for very few hours and when I am asleep I toss and turn constantly. It eventually got so bad I was banished to the spare room.
But one morning I woke up feeling strangely well rested.
Now thats unusual for me. I always wake up exhausted and have to force myself to get out of bed.
But this particular morning I woke up later than usual and felt great! Then my wife came in and asked how I had slept. I told her how well I’d slept and how good I felt. She said…” that’s interesting”.
She then reached under the bed and pulled out a small ‘burner’ she occasionally uses to diffuse essential oils in the house. She said just two words, “lemon grass”.
She had come into the room after I finally fell asleep the night before. She put the burner under the bed as an experiment. To cut a long story short. I’m now a convert and use lemon grass in many different ways. I always have a cup of lemon grass tea before I go to bed and now sleep soundly.
(and I’m back in the marital bed)
It’s a remarkable plant and can be very easily grown in your garden or in a pot on your terrace. It has a multitude of different uses and smells delicious.
Make it part of your life.
