She acknowledges that sticking to diet plans or finding the time for regular exercise is difficult for most people and proposes these methods to lose weight without strict specific diet or exercise regimes. I found this next tip really effective and it's not difficult to implement once you get into the swing of it. My kids have grown up and left home so not having the traditional 3 formal meals a day was easy to implement. 

"Serve food in multiple small portions

This method is most useful in a buffet or snacking situation. One study divided single meals into smaller portions to test whether people expected to feel fuller after eating the same amount of food in separate units.

They found that by dividing foods into three or six separate portions, the participants' expected level of fullness was greater. When eating at a buffet, a person can take multiple small plates to split the food across. When snacking, they can cut up the snacks and place them on different small plates.

A person can also try dividing mealtimes up into several small courses, instead of putting everything on one plate."

I must admit that when I read the claim in the headline I was skeptical. Up to that point the only way I could lose weight was to eat a whole lot less of all the food I really love. But I put most of these recommendations into effect and you know what? This stuff works. Its not that hard to do either. Go ahead and give it a try.
